X-45

X-45 combines solid-solution strengthening from tungsten and chromium with carbide precipitation for structural stability in gas turbine nozzle and vane applications at temperatures up to approximately 980°C. Its high chromium content provides strong resistance to sulfidation and type I hot corrosion, while its microstructural stability under long-term service conditions supports reliable performance in industrial gas turbine maintenance cycles. X-45 is used for first and second-stage nozzle guide vanes and combustion hardware in power generation and aerospace turbines.
