X-40 is solid-solution strengthened by tungsten and chromium, providing reliable creep resistance and strong resistance to sulfidation, oxidation, and thermal fatigue cracking in hot-section gas turbine environments. Its high chromium content gives superior hot corrosion resistance compared to nickel-base alloys in aggressive combustion atmospheres. Qualified to AMS 5382 and C50TF21, X-40 is used for turbine nozzle vanes, combustion liners, and transition ducts in aero-engines and industrial gas turbines.
282 is a gamma prime strengthened nickel-base superalloy powder with high creep strength and strong fabricability for additive manufacturing.
