René 80

René 80 combines tungsten and molybdenum solid-solution strengthening with high gamma prime content to deliver strong creep rupture and tensile performance for investment cast first-stage turbine blades. Its moderate chromium content provides adequate oxidation and hot corrosion resistance for a range of gas turbine operating environments. Qualified under C50TF47 and C50TF28, it has been a widely used blade alloy for both aero and industrial gas turbine applications.
