MM247LC (René 108)

R108 alloy demonstrates similar properties to MAR M 247 with improved ductility, minimizing grain boundary cracking during DS casting. The improved castability has also resulted in extensive conventional cast, equiaxed applications. Qualified under C50TF83, it is used for turbine blades and vanes in aerospace and military applications requiring the elevated-temperature capability of the MAR M 247 family with the processing advantages of a lower-carbon DS chemistry.
