MAR M 509

MAR M 509 is strengthened by solid solution and carbide precipitation, providing good creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance at temperatures approaching 1000°C. Its high chromium and tantalum content gives strong resistance to sulfidation and hot corrosion in aggressive gas turbine environments. Qualified under PWA 647, B50TF89, EMS 55451, and DMD 0401-32, it is used for nozzle guide vanes, seal rings, and combustion hardware in both aero-engine and industrial gas turbine applications.
