AM1

Developed by SNECMA and ONERA, AM1 is a precipitation-hardened single crystal alloy offering outstanding creep strength, thermal fatigue resistance, and oxidation resistance at temperatures approaching 1050°C. Its grain-boundary-free single crystal structure eliminates the primary failure mechanism of polycrystalline alloys, making it a standard material for high-pressure turbine blades and vanes in advanced aero-engines and military jet propulsion systems.
